I will to try explain what I hear on
the redording. Last week, Mr.Marsigit introduce him self. He took Mathematics
Education for his bachelor and master degree. But he took Philosophy of Mathematics
for his doctoral degree. Mr. Marsigit told that he had two son
and one grandson. He said that if he have had five children, we will be suited
to his fifth children.
In the rocording that i heard, there is explain about
strategy how to able mathematics,and how to teaching about English for mathematic
education. Before that, you need some approach to teaching. After approach then
strategy. But before approach, you need belive too. Belive is related to your
understanding or information.
If you want to be able to teching
English for mathematic, you should have background English and also mathematic.
But you should have mathematic education too. To learn English and mathematic, you need some
assumption. Assumption on the student,
language, mathematic, and education. Before belive, approach, strategy, metode.
If you want to be something to somebody else, you shaold have approach.
The
assumption are as following :
1. First assumpsion is you
have experience in English.
For example, you can tlking, writing, listening, etc.
2. Second assumpsion is you
are adult.
It mean you have a responsibility to their life, activity,
learning, etc.
3. Next assumption is we have
similar chance to learn
We still learning something, example if we watch movie and we
find new words.
4. Next is you should be a
active learner
Active learner is very important, because it is
inline/according with the nature of life. We never know something if we never
active want to know something.
5. The following assumption
is langage is life.
Because the component inside is life
too. To learn something that is life, the best approach/method is using life
approach too. If you want to know something life, the key factor is the
procces.
6. Next assumption is English
is language and language is communication.
There are somee aspect for example : talking, informing,
writing, understanding, listening, translating, speaking, etc.
7. Next assumpsion is
mathematic
The important thing if you want to be mathematic teacher, you
need learn school mathematic.
